ELKHART — The victim in an accidental shooting at Old Farm Apartments Friday died from his injuries.

Elkhart police responded to the shooting around 11 a.m. Friday at 602 K Lane at Old Farm Apartments and found the victim, Benjamin T. Moleski, 22. Officials said it is not clear whether Moleski shot himself or if he was shot accidentally by another individual.

Moleski had worked part-time for Federated Media Radio South Bend since March 2011, helping set up live broadcasts for the company’s radio stations, according to Brad Williams, the Federated Media Radio chief operating officer. His co-workers, Williams added, are “very upset. They said he was a great guy.”

Moleski was taken to Elkhart General Hospital, where he died. The incident is under investigation.
