Late model race car driver and local resident Corey Ryman will be in attendance, and his new car will be on display.
Ryman, who is from Nappanee, has been racing since 2004, and joined the late model circuit in 2006. He won his first race in just his career fourth start in 2004, on the way to one of his two rookie of the year awards. Ryman is also the owner of one championship so far in his young career.
Ryman’s No. 17 car will be on display near the downtown square, along with more than 100 other vehicles Saturday. The show will be an opportunity to view the new paint scheme on Ryman’s car before his first race of the season at the end of the month.
The show will begin at 9 a.m. and will also include competitions like tire changing and a creeper race. Nelson’s Chicken dinners will also be available for $8 in the downtown park.
The Wakarusa Lions Club’s Steak in the Park event will follow from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the downtown park.
