ELKHART — Three commercial developers in Elkhart County could be the first to successfully enroll in the Indiana Shovel Ready Program. Overseen by the Indiana Economic Development Corp., this identifies and certifies property and buildings that can be ready in a short time for businesses to start their operations.

The trio have filed applications with the state to be registered in the program. Along with the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs and the Fast Access Site Team, the IEDC evaluates and approves the applications.

The properties and developers are:

• EarthWay Rail Park in Bristol, being developed by Northland Corp.

• Beck Industrial Park off C.R. 17, being represented by Myers Trust Real Estate

• Waterford Development in Goshen, being developed by Hoogenboom-Nofziger
