A 9-year-old LaGrange County girl remains in critical condition this morning, June 11, from an accident Friday on the intersection of U.S. 20 and S.R. 15.

Alia Villalobos, from LaGrange, was taken to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis after initially being airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Three other children, George Ryan, 7, Darwin Villalobos, 2, and Kitana Ryan, 9, and an adult, Laura Ryan, were transported in ambulance to Goshen General Hospital and have been released.

The accident happened around 5:09 p.m. Friday. Laura Ryan was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse heading south on S.R. 15 and was trying to turn left onto U.S. 20. As she turned, the vehicle collided with a 1997 BMW 328i driven by Jacob Mitchell, who was heading north on S.R. 15.

Mitchell was not injured.
