“We are able to confirm through the investigation that the driver of the vehicle traveled left of center prior to the crash,” though police don’t know why, wrote Capt. James Bradberry of the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
The police investigation continues into the crash, which killed David Anglemyer, 18, and Daniel Runion, 19, of Goshen.
The driver of the car was Daniel Snead, 42, of Elkhart, according to Elkhart County Patrolman Michael Daly.
The wreck happened at 5:50 a.m. Thursday on C.R. 20 east of Pleasant Plain Avenue.
Neither bicyclist wore a helmet or safety gear, though one of the bicycles had a red flashing light, according to Daly.
