ELKHART — Investigators from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department say they have located a suspect vehicle believed to have been involved in a crash that killed an Elkhart man early today, June 7. Raymundo Macjado Sabag, 60, of Elkhart, was riding a bicycle with southbound traffic on C.R. 17 at the U.S. 20 Bypass when the front of a vehicle hit the rear of his bicycle around 3:35 a.m. The vehicle left the scene before police arrived, according to a release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
Sabag died from his injuries as a result of the crash, police said. He was a regular bike commuter and was wearing reflective clothing, according to Capt. James Bradberry, spokesman for the sheriff’s department.
