Goshen man suffers broken arm in mo-ped crash

A Goshen man lost control of his mo-ped on C.R. 33 near Millersburg and was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Stanley Pender, 65, was traveling north on C.R. 33 north of C.R. 46 at about 3 p.m. when he said he was startled by a passing vehicle. He veered off the east side of C.R. 33 and hit an embankment. He was taken to Memorial Hospital by MedFlight for complaints of a broken arm and head pains.

No citations were issued.
