BRISTOL — A police chase that started Friday night in the town of Bristol resulted in the deaths of two Elkhart residents.

Anthony Arroyo and Celia N. Ramirez were pronounced dead where the motorcycle they were riding crashed in the 55000 block of State Road 15, according to a press release this morning, May 26, from the Bristol Police Department.

Bristol officers tried to pull over the motorcycle driven by Arroyo at 9:21 p.m. near S.R. 15 and Kesco Drive, an industrial area on the town’s south side. The motorcycle, however, sped away and a brief pursuit ensued, ending south of town when the cycle crashed, police said.

Officers with the Elkhart County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team are investigating the crash.
