Motorcyclists hurt after colliding with deer
Gabriel Santiago, 41, of Goshen, was driving a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle east on S.R. 4, west of C.R. 29 when a deer ran into his path, according to an Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department report. Santiago struck the deer, throwing him and his passenger, Gretchen Santiago, 38, of Goshen, to the north side of the road.
Gretchen Santiago suffered a broken leg and was taken to IU Health Goshen Hospital. Gabriel Santiago suffered cuts to his leg and a thumb injury.
