GOSHEN — It’s official: Glen Campbell’s playing the Elkhart County 4-H Fair.

Months after signing the contract that swore them to secrecy, organizers of the fair were able to announce this morning, May 11, that Glen Campbell is, indeed, the final act to play this summer.

Tickets are on sale for reserved track seats for $20, and like all shows, grandstand seats are available free on a first-come, first-served basis the day of the show.

Campbell will play at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25.

It’s one of the dates on The Goodbye Tour, Campbell’s final tour following his announcement last year that he has Alzheimer’s disease.

Though the information that Campbell’s playing the fair has been out for a while, the long wait for the official announcement came because Campbell played a show Thursday night in Wabash.

Campbell will round out the summer concert series at the fair.

Styx will play Saturday, July 21, followed by Salvador featuring Jaci Velasquez on Sunday, July 22.

Country duo Thompson Square will play Monday, July 23, with opening act Mallary Hope, followed by Josh Turner Tuesday, July 24, and Campbell.

All shows start at 8 p.m., and reserved track seats are available for all shows at the fair office, 17746 C.R. 34, or by phone at 533-3247.
