GOSHEN — City residents south and southwest of the hospital are under a boil order as of this morning, May 7.

A water main broke, requiring the city to shut it down for a few hours today, according to city officials. People living along Woodward Place, Reservoir Place and River Vista Drive should not drink water without boiling it until the order is lifted. Showers, baths, laundry and toilet use are all OK, but dishwashers should only be used if they have a sanitizing cycle or if dishes are rinsed with boiled or bottled water.

They city will notify residents when the boil order is lifted, which will be after two consecutive water samples pass bacteria tests. For more information call Minky Kyle with Goshen utilities at 534-5306.
