Three local schools will compete in the Indiana Academic Super Bowl senior division state finals Saturday.

Concord, NorthWood and Penn high schools had teams qualify in the area contests in April.

In class 1, Concord’s science and English teams and Penn High School’s science, social studies, math and English teams will compete at state. In class 2, NorthWood High School’s science, fine arts and interdisciplinary teams will compete at the state contest.

The state finals competition is held in the Loeb Playhouse at Purdue University.

Through Indiana Academic Super Bowl contests, teams of students compete with other teams by answering questions about a particular era in the areas of English, science, social studies, mathematics and interdisciplinary rounds. The senior division also includes a fine arts round. This year, competitors are studying colonial and Revolutionary War-era America.
