GULFPORT, Miss. — Theron Joe Miller, 74, of Gulfport, passed away on April 22, 2012, in Gulfport.

He was born in Elkhart, Ind., and lived in Gulfport most of his life. He was a 1956 graduate of Lyman High School and later served in the U.S. Army. He was past Exalted Ruler and life member of BPO Elks 235 on McKinley Drive in Elkhart.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Miller, and his parents, Joe Devoe Miller and Geneva Miller.

Survivors include children Jason Miller and Todd Miller; stepdaughter Marcia Smart; sister Sharon Levens; brother Larry Miller; two grandchildren, Mark and Terry Miller; two stepgrandchildren; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in Biloxi National Cemetery.
