GOSHEN — Longtime Chamberlain Elementary Principal Don Jantzi announced his plans to retire at the Goshen School Board meeting Monday evening.

“I have had 22 wonderful years at Goshen Community Schools and at Chamberlain Elementary both professionally and personally,” Jantzi wrote to the school board.

School Board President Maynard Hartsough thanked Jantzi for his dedication to the school.

“You’re really going to be missed,” he said, “because you’ve really been the heart and soul up there at Chamberlain.”

“Well, the wonderful staff up there is the heart and soul,” Jantzi said.

Deputy Superintendent Diane Woodworth said that Jantzi’s retirement would be effective this summer.
