Governor misses State of the Union to cheer on Purdue
When President Barack Obama delivered his State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress, Gov. Mitch Daniels did not tune in.
Instead, he "Boilered up."
According to a story on WLFI.com, Gov. Daniels was touring a middle school when he let slip that he opted to cheer on the Boilermakers as they played Ohio State Tuesday night.
However, Daniels said he had read accounts of the president's speech and would be reading the transcript in the coming days.
"I think I'll just say that I'm very hopeful that we are going to see changes in national policy."
