ELKHART -- The Community Basketball Leagues, a coed youth and adult amateur basketball organization, will be having a free community day for CBL Elkhart and CBL South Bend basketball leagues Saturday -- 8 to 10 a.m. at the Roosevelt Center, 215 E. Indiana Ave., Elkhart, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Center, 1522 W. Linden St., South Bend.

The CBL is offering a community day-only $50 registration fee for returning players and half-off or $75 for players who are new to the league.

Registration cost after Saturday will go back to its regular cost of $150 per player.

A ceremonial keynote is slated to take place at the CBL Elkhart session that will celebrate the league's new Web site launch and the one year anniversary honoring last year's league sponsors, players, and community supporters.

The CBL junior basketball leagues are for youth ages 6 to 16 and the CBL adult coed leagues are for players ages 17-and-up.
