SAN ANTONIO -- Shanna (Zolman) Crossley is expected to be sidelined for at least another week after recently suffering a torn meniscus in her left knee and undergoing surgery June 24.
The San Antonio Silver Stars guard and former Wawasee High School basketball superstar sustained the injury in a June 19 WNBA game at New York.
Crossley scored 12 points in just 16 minutes in that contest, one of just two games in which she's appeared this season.
The top scorer in Indiana high school girls history and later a shooting standout at the University of Tennessee, Crossley missed all of the 2008 WNBA season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the same knee.
In her fourth year as a pro player, Crossley confirmed her latest injury on her Web site, szcross.com.
