GOSHEN -- Northridge High School and Northridge Middle School each took second place in their categories at the Goshen College Regional Science Olympiad tournament on Saturday.

The top three finishers in each category qualify for the state tournament, which sends the two Middlebury schools to the 2009 Indiana Science Olympiad, set for March 28.

Low score wins, and in the high school category, Northridge High School scored 57 points on Saturday in placing second. Bethany Christian High School of Goshen scored 150 points, finishing sixth.

In the middle school group, Northridge Middle School scored 53 points to take second place. Pierre Moran Middle of Elkhart took sixth with 142 points while Bethany Christian Middle School scored 168 points and finished seventh.
