ELKHART — Larry and Susan (Ashton) Struble are celebrating their 50th anniversary in September.
They were married Sept. 1, 1963, at First Baptist Church in North Vernon.
They are celebrating with a dinner with immediate family and close friends locally. Later this fall they will take a trip to New England — including Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont — to enjoy the fall colors and the company of friends.
Mr. Struble is a retired account executive from Chase Bank-Nappanee. Mrs. Struble is a retired consumer and family arts teacher for Elkhart Community Schools.
They have two daughters, Marci Struble of Indianapolis and Stacy Struble of San Diego.
Larry and Susan met at Ball State University as undergraduate students in 1962. They are members of Jamestown United Methodist Church and Maplecrest Country Club.
Larry is a past president of the Elkhart County 4-H Fair and served as treasurer of the fair board for 13 years.
